SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Interstate 8 was temporarily shut down in the Mission Valley area Saturday night due to a police pursuit involving two separate vehicles, authorities said. According to the San Diego Police Department, officers began pursuing the suspects around 9 p.m. after reports of a burglary in Chula Vista.  One vehicle was stopped in the 2200 block of Otay Lakes Road, while the other driver fled westbound on I-8, police said. The second vehicle was eventually stopped on the freeway at Texas Street in Mission Valley. During the pursuit on I-8, a police vehicle collided into a vehicle unrelated to the pursuit. According to SDPD, there were no major injuries but the freeway was shutdown in the area for a short period of time. Police said four people were taken into custody.
