(BCN) -- The City of Santa Rosa is seeking public feedback to shape the future of inRESPONSE: Mental Health Support Team, officials said. The inRESPONSE: Mental Health Support Team is a specialized crisis response unit designed to address mental health-related calls. inRESPONSE includes a licens ed mental health clinician, a paramedic, and an engagement specialist, with support from wrap-around service providers, according to city officials. The team, which works alongside the Santa Rosa Police Department, is trained in de-escalation and mental health evaluations. They remain unarmed to focus on providing appropriate mental health resources, a press release issued on Thursday noted. Survey responses will remain confidential and anonymous, and the data will help shape the program's future direction, officials said.
