Nike Mid East Qualifier volleyball tournament INDIANAPOLIS (WISH)–Thousands of volleyball fans, players, and coaches are in Indianapolis for the Nike Mid-East Qualifier tournament.  Over 900 teams from across the country are facing down on 105 different courts at the Indiana Convention Cen ter.  Joining the teams is over 30,000 supporters flooding downtown Indy for the massive volleyball tournament. “Teams are trying to get their bids for nationals, we’ve been around for about 25-30 years here in Indianapolis, we’ve seen the growth of it,” Tournament Director Scott McQueen said.   McQueen says 150-200 different college scouts will be recruiting for Division 1 to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.  “It’s a neat opportunity for the girls, it’s well known for the recruiting opportunities and competition,” McQueen said.  Sunday is the Championship and the final day of the tournament.  ...read more read less
