FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) -- A child was shot while at an event in Fayetteville Saturday night, police said. The shooting was reported just after 8:20 p.m. in the 6900 block of Cliffdale Road, according to a Fayetteville Police Department news release late Saturday night. "This is an active in vestigation," officers said in a brief statement. The shooting happened at a small fair in the parking lot area of businesses along Cliffdale Road near S. Reilly Road in western Fayetteville.
