DUNSEITH, ND (KXNET) — The International Peace Garden is getting ready to put on a year of exciting events, and they want you to start marking your calendars.
There will be seasonal celebrations, concerts, volunteer opportunities, and special-themed events.
No matter if you're a long-time vi
sitor or planning your first trip, now is the time to get your day and annual passes to experience the beauty and serenity the garden offers all year.
Starting now, and going through April 30 is Free Senior Wednesdays. Every Wednesday, seniors (55+) can get free admission to the Conservatory where you can stroll among the collection of over 5,000 cacti and succulents. You can bring a friend and see the breathtaking displays. There is an itinerary for March 26 and April 9, which you can find here.
On May 11, there will be a Mother's Day Buffet. To celebrate your mom, you can see the first blooming blubs and trees, as well as the Conservatory's spring displays. A meal will be provided by Country Catering, plus moms will get a succulent. You can reserve seats now.
Volunteer Planting Days are happening on June 14 and 21. Join others to help bring the garden to life by planting flowers to enhance its beauty. You can fill out this form to volunteer. If planting isn't your thing, that's okay, the maintenance staff could use support and skill for Facilities Volunteer Day on May 2 and Grounds Volunteer Day on May 30.
