Shooting kills person on near eastside INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — One person is dead, and a suspect arrested, after a fatal shooting on the near eastside of Indianapolis early Sunday morning. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department reported that a man was shot in the 300 block of North Arsen al Avenue, near East New York Street. Police arrived to find the man dead at the scene. One person was detained on the scene. IMPD believes this shooting to be an isolated incident.
