Northern lights viewing chance this weekend
Light rain moves into the region by the early afternoon, although not intense or widespread. Even with this, temperature will rise into the 40s, with highs in the mid-to-upper 40s.
Better chances for rain showers arrive in the evening as a cold front moves through, giving a short period of more rain showers. Briefly, heavier pockets of rain could be seen, and it will clear the region by 11 PM, with only a few lingering rain showers afterward. Skies see a temporary clearing overnight, before more clouds return Monday.
Total rainfall accumulation will be up to 0.25", with many seeing less.

Similar to Saturday, it will be another gusty day, with wind gusts up to 30 mph possible. We stay windy overnight as well, with northwest wind gusts up to 35 mph. On Monday, winds may gust up to a blustery 45 mph. Make sure to have those loose outdoor objects secured!
There is the slight chance for a Monday rain shower, mainly in our northern communities, but many will be dry for Monday.

High temperatures stay below average through midweek, in the 40s, with more chances for rain showers on Tuesday, and a mix of rain and non-accumulating show into early Wednesday. Luckily, we break out of the 40s, and soar into the 50s and even 60s for the remainder of the upcoming week, with 50s on Thursday, and 60s for Friday and the weekend.
However, the warmth comes with a caveat of more rain and storm chances. So, while you enjoy the warmth, make sure to have an umbrella or rain jacket handy!
