VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) -- Six people, two birds and one dog have been displaced following a house fire in the Huntington section of Virginia Beach on Saturday. Crews with the Virginia Beach Fire Department and Norfolk Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire in the 200 block of Green Kemp Road at approximately 3:20 p.m. Upon arrival, firefighters observed heavy smoke and fire showing from the structure. Crews battled high winds amid the house fire, but it was officially marked under control around 3:45 p.m. defaultdefault One resident suffered minor burns but refused treatment.
