Buckets for Baden to support families in need for 4th year

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – The 4th annual Buckets for Baden fundraiser was held Saturday.
Members of the community were able to play in a three-point basketball contest as a fun way to celebrate March Madness. Proceeds from the event will be directly used to support the Baden Street Settlement's
Baden Believes campaign.
Through Baden Believes the organization, currently located at 152 Baden Street, pursues a $4 million capital campaign to build a new state-of-the-art headquarters.
"Buckets for Baden is really a great way to raise awareness for this community and the importance of Baden Street." John Alhart, a member of the Baden Street Board of Directors and organizer of Buckets for Baden, said. "Baden Street has been around for over 120 years here in the Rochester community providing vital services for families and individuals who are affected by poverty."

The Baden Street Settlement is a non-for-profit organization that provides resources and support to families, adults, and children impacted by poverty within the northeast Rochester area. Through partnering with local agencies, they address neighborhood concerns and reduce the level of negative social problems associated with being poor and disadvantaged.
