KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- After Bobby Witt Jr. was smoked by a fastball a few weeks ago in a Surprise Arizona's Cactus League game, Royals fans have another Spring Training injury scare to worry about.
While trying to beat out a double play, Royals first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino pulled up while runn
ing to first. He immediately exited the game, which is no surprise considering it's Spring Training still.

Now, the Royals say Pasquantino has a right hamstring strain, and that he'll continue to be evaluated.
However, the latest reports suggest Pasquantino's hamstring injury is minor, and shouldn't affect the Opening Day lineup.
"I feel fine," Pasquantino told MLB.com's Anne Rogers.
"My gut tells me it's not going to affect anything, but my gut is not the medical staff."
The 27-year-old is yet to complete a full season in the big leagues after going down late in the year last season with a freak-accident hand injury. However, he still has until Thursday to rest up before the season begins at Kauffman.
Considering Pasquantino played postseason baseball last year with a broken finger, you can bet on him doing everything he can to be in the lineup on Thursday.
The Royals would go on a run to win the Spring Training matchup with the Texas Rangers 9-5. ...read more read less
