CARMEL, Ind. — Police are investigating after a driver struck a tree that then crashed into a hair salon in Carmel Saturday morning. According to the Carmel Police Department, the driver's car jumped a curb and crashed into a hair salon in the 10300 block of Commerce Drive shortly before 9 a.m. on Saturday. That vehicle also collided with a tree, causing the tree to fall onto the building, police said. A manager of the hair salon was then called to the scene. CPD added that a person was taken out of the vehicle and transported to an area hospital. Their condition, however, was not released by police. It is unknown if any other individuals were injured during the crash.
