FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Police are investigating a shooting in southwest Fort Wayne that left one person dead. The Fort Wayne Police Department responded at 6:27 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting in the 400 block of W Wildwood Avenue, near Hoagland and Fairfield Avenue. According to Allen County Dispatch, a woman was found in life-threatening condition. An officer at the scene told WANE 15 the woman had been pronounced dead. The investigation is ongoing.
