Loaded gun found in suspected drunk driver’s car: Colma PD

(KRON) – A loaded firearm was found in a suspected drunk driver’s vehicle, according to the Colma Police Department.
Around 9:20 p.m. on March 15, Colma police officers responded to the intersection of Serramonte Boulevard and Collins Avenue for the report of a possible drunk driver. Authorit
ies were told that a pedestrian was almost hit by a person driving a Chevrolet sedan.
Officers located the Chevrolet and contacted the driver, who was later identified as 30-year-old Alameda resident Joshua Parker. Police said they smelled a “distinct odor of an alcoholic beverage” on Parker.

Parker was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after police conducted a sobriety test. According to Colma PD, officers discovered a loaded firearm concealed between the seats of the car.
Parker was booked into the San Mateo County Jail for driving under the influence of alcohol, carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle, carrying a loaded firearm in public and resisting/obstructing a peace officer with threats of violence/intimidation.
Parker, according to police, made retaliation threats to his arresting officers while in the county jail.
