Wichita man dies after fatal shooting during disturbance

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A 24-year-old man was shot and killed early Saturday morning at a home in southeast Wichita, according to police.
Officers responded to a call for medical assistance around 3:47 a.m. at a residence in the 14000 block of E. Twinlake Dr., near east Kellogg and South 143rd S
treet.
When they arrived, they found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Investigators say the shooting occurred during a gathering at the home, where a disturbance broke out between the suspect and the victim. Authorities believe the individuals knew each other, and police do not consider the incident a random act of violence.
Detectives are currently interviewing witnesses and following up on leads as the investigation continues.
