TRENTON — Mercer County Prosecutor Janetta D. Marbrey has charged a city man with the murder of another city resident.
Marbrey’s office reported that 33-year-old Bruno J. Laboy Santiago, Jr. is facing charges of first-degree murder and a second-degree weapons offense for the death of Wilmer Eliu
Vidal Romero, 25, of Trenton. Prosecutors said “Laboy Santiago purposely or knowingly shot Vidal Romero and that led to his death.”
Around 11:23 p.m. on March 13, Trenton Police responded to the area of Dayton and Grand streets for a Shot Spotter activation.
Officers found Vidal Romero with a gunshot wound, sitting in the driver’s seat of a Toyota 4Runner.
