High West Distillery is bringing their award-winning whiskey directly to Deer Valley Resort skiers this weekend with a pop up apres event outside Silver Lake Lodge.The multi-day activation is part of the distillery’s brand ambassador project “Spirit of the West Tour,” which brings the Park Cit y-based spirit to locations across the United States, said Kate Bachman, who oversees High West’s brand experience.An Airstream and an old train caboose were converted into High West bars, brought to different ski resorts and music festivals around the country as a way to spread awareness, and whiskey, of course. For the Deer Valley pop up, they will be serving whiskey cocktails out of the Airstream from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Bachman said, and Deer Valley’s food and beverage team will be dishing up “live fire” concept dishes like bacon-wrapped stuffed peppers, and a beef panozzo-style sandwich.Bachman said while most locals know the name Park City, Deer Valley sees visitors from all over the country, even the world, especially during March.“We have people from Texas to California and they’re here for spring break, especially this week. It just brings more brand awareness.
