Local comedian has street in Frayser named after him

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A local comedian and philanthropist was honored this weekend after a street in Frayser was named after him to acknowledge his contributions to the city and commitment to uplifting the community.
In a ceremony hosted by city councilwoman, Dr. Michalyn Easter-Thomas, Beacon Hill D
rive between Smith Ridge Road and Mirror Avenue was renamed Mario "Grove Hero" Bradley Way.
Praised by the Memphis City Council for his dedication to "revitalizing his hometown", Bradley has purchased and restored multiple properties in Frayser.
He's known for providing rent-free housing to individuals facing hardships.

In 2021, Bradley was given the key to Shelby County for his dedication to community service, particularly his efforts to improve local housing, support neighborhood revitalization and provide opportunities for those in need.

Beyond his housing initiatives, Bradley has recently developed a state-of-the-art playground designed to "foster creativity, physical activity and social interaction among children."
