Gaming computer thefts lead to arrests in Porterville

PORTERVILLE, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Two men were arrested on Friday after allegedly stealing gaming computers from a Porterville Walmart.
According to the Porterville Police Department, on Dec. 9, 2024, two men entered a local Walmart, loaded two gaming computers into a shopping cart and fled th
e store without paying. Police say the two computers were worth over $1,800.
Over the next several months, police say investigators identified the suspects as 18-year-old Jarod Lemon and 19-year-old Thomas Heffley.
On Friday, police served search and arrest warrants at their Visalia homes. The pair were booked at the TCSO Pre-Trial Facility on suspicion of grand theft and conspiracy to commit grand theft. Lemon and Heffley are each being held in lieu of $25,000 bail.
