CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - After some mild temperatures for the first day of spring it was cooler and windy Friday.
We were only in the 40s but the wind made it feel colder. We have had some warm temperatures this month and according to information from NOAA, February 2025 was a record warm month g
lobally.
According to the National Centers for Environmental Information, the average global temperature was 2.27 degrees above the 20th-century average of 53.8 degrees, making it the third warmest February on record.
While many places across the world experienced above-average temperatures, here in New England we experienced temperatures that were closer to average or even below average during February. The national Temperature Outlook for April is calling for above-average temperatures for us here in New England and the Precipitation Outlook is calling for average precipitation.
Right now it's looking like some cooler temperatures will be sticking around for the next week or so.
