Albuquerque teen sentenced for role in fatal armed robbery

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – One of the teens involved in a deadly shooting and attempted carjacking, learned her fate in court on Friday. In January, a group of 8 teens attempted to steal a car from a married couple at an apartment complex on Tramway Blvd. Jocelyn Sedillo, 16, was part of the con
spiracy, and her own vehicle was used in the plot.
Albuquerque man sentenced for deadly 2023 shooting
Court documents said the incident escalated when one of the teens shot the wife, injuring her. The husband fired back, killing one of the 14-year-olds.
The state read a statement from that man in court Friday morning. "Because of the idiotic and dumb thinking and actions you guys decided to do that night, I now have to live with the fact that I took someone's life but a kid's life."
Judge Garcia sentenced Sedillo to the maximum penalty of one year in juvenile detention. ...read more read less
