Colonial Heights Public Schools employee arrested, charged with DUI

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. (WRIC) -- A Colonial Heights Public Schools employee has been arrested and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) after police said he had a blood alcohol concentration of more than twice the legal limit.
At around 12:30 p.m. on Friday, March 21, an officer with the Co
lonial Heights Police Department initiated a traffic stop in the 3600 block of the Boulevard for the report of a driver failing to maintain driving in their lane of travel.
According to police, the driver -- identified as Mitchell T. Foster, an employee of Colonial Heights Public Schools -- failed several field sobriety tests and was found to have a blood alcohol concentration of more than twice the legal limit.
Officials said Foster was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and failing to maintain the lane of travel.
Foster was taken before a magistrate and is being held at Riverside Regional Jail on a $3,500 secured bond, according to police.
