HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Kindergarten registration for Henrico County Public Schools (HCPS) will begin next week. Kindergarten registration for all 46 of HCPS' elementary schools will soon open up for the 2025-2026 academic school year for children who will be 5 years old by Sept. 30. Accordi ng to HCPS, parents or legal guardians can start the registration process online by providing the necessary documents -- such as the enrollment form and health form -- or families can get everything done in person at the 2025-26 Kindergarten Registration Kickoff Event. Online registration will begin on Monday, March 24 and the in-person Kindergarten Registration Kickoff will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 10. The school district said experts and translation services will be available at the kickoff event to provide any additional help or information to prep families for the first day of school in August.
