Light precipitation this evening, cooler air moves in overnight

The Latest from Storm Team 5...
While highs reached the 40s and 50s this afternoon, we have to mention the reason why. A weak clipper system is moving into the state, and that has provided enough lift for a few scattered rain showers to develop. As we cool down rapidly tonight, a few wet snow fla
kes may mix in especially far north. Otherwise, clouds clear to partly cloudy and temperatures into the teens and 20s.
Saturday, while cooler the average, will be the best day of the weekend. Few clouds in the morning, over to mostly sunny skies. Temperatures manage the 30s to around 40 degrees. Lows overnight will dip into the 20s, but warm up after midnight with an increase in clouds.
Sunday will not be a nice day for many to say the least. An area of low pressure will move off the northern Rockies Saturday and become our next chance for precipitation as early as Sunday morning.
This will start out as a mixture of rain and snow showers, and the rain/snow line will slowly make its way off to the north. The far Northwoods will likely stay snow for the entirety of this event, with rain showers mixing in for the rest of the area. Sunday evening and night, the cold air wraps back in, turning the precipitation back over to all snow that will linger into Monday.
Here is a look at our first call on the snowfall for this system. The changeover to rain will severely impact snow totals for Green Bay and the Fox Valley, but where it stays all snow or mainly snow, totals will be higher.
Once we get past Monday, the rest of the week does look quiet until we get to Friday.
