It has been a windy end to the workweek across northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio. The good news though is temperatures have returned back closer to seasonable levels after a cold start to the spring season on Thursday. Look for clouds to continue to increase as we progress into tonight. This i s because we are tracking a quick round of scattered rain showers overnight. This rain will not amount to much and will be gone by the time we get to daybreak on Saturday, but temperatures will quickly drop into the mid-30s behind the rain. Winds will also stay elevated overnight, with gusts up to 35 mph possible at times. A few showers are possible overnight.Winds gust as high as around 35 mph at times tonight.We drop into the 30s as showers taper off by daybreak Saturday.Winds become more northwesterly into Saturday. We'll be back down in the lower 40s for our Saturday high temperatures, with wind gusts up to 30 mph at times creating an added chill in the air. Most of the day will feature mostly cloudy skies with the slight chance for a rain shower. Many of us will stay dry though and clouds will decrease by late in the afternoon into the evening as winds finally diminish. Spotty precipitation is possible Saturday.Winds still gust as high as 30 mph Saturday.Clouds decrease by evening, with highs reaching the 40s at most.Winds diminish later in the day Saturday. Our next weather system then tracks in on Sunday. Look for periods of rain to begin Sunday afternoon and last through the first part of Sunday night. It will be a breezy day Sunday, with highs reaching the mid-40s. Make sure you have the umbrella handy if you have plans to wrap up the weekend. Periods of rain are expected Sunday afternoon into Sunday night. High temperatures will stay in the 40s early next week, with winds being strong on Monday. We will not warm into the 50s and 60s until Thursday through Saturday. Precipitation chances will be low until our next more notable weather system moves in during the Friday to Saturday window.
