BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A Shafter police investigation led to the arrest of a man on suspicion of child pornography possession Friday morning. Erik Ruiz, 30, was arrested after a search warrant was served at 9 a.m. in the 100 block of Frances Avenue, police said.. Ruiz is a convicted sex of fender who is on active felony probation. He was booked into jail and is due in court next week. Homeland Security Investigations personnel, the Secret Service and the CDCR assisted Shafter police in this investigation.
