BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying a man wanted for assault with a metal rod in north Bakersfield. The assault happened in the 500 block of Willow Drive on Feb. 28 around 7:15 p.m., according to the police departme nt. The victim was left with minor injuries. The suspect is described as 25 to 30 years old, about 6 feet tall and weighing 220 pounds. Police said he wore glasses, a black and red hat, red shirt, dark pants and white shoes.
