FREDERICK COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) -- The parents of an 8-year-old boy who was found with a gun in his backpack Thursday have been charged, according to the Frederick County Sheriff's Office (FCSO). Deputies said 54-year-old Mark Richardson was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and allowing access to firearms by children. Frederick County, Virginia implements new 911 technology Camille Richardson, 51, has also been charged with allowing access to firearms by children. According to deputies, the gun was found in the boy's backpack during lunchtime at Jordan Springs Elementary School. No one was injured.
