12yearold arrested for Northwest DC robbery, police say

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- A 12-year-old was arrested and charged for a robbery that happened in Northwest D.C. on Wednesday, according to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).
Police say officers responded at 4:52 p.m. to reports of a robbery in the 100 block of Q Street NE.

According to police, the robber approached the victim on the street, assaulted her and stole from her. The woman was then transported to the hospital by DC Fire and EMS with non-life-threatening injuries.
A 12-year-old boy was arrested Thursday in connection to the incident and charged with Robbery.
The robbery remains under investigation and anyone with information on the incident is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099 or text the Department's tip line at 50411.
