Suspect arrested in shooting at Sherman Street home

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Rochester police said they arrested a man for a shooting a victim several times on Sherman Street.
On February 18 around 9:50 a.m., officers responded to the residence and found a man in his 50s suffering from multiple gunshots. They applied tourniquets to his legs befo
re taking him to a hospital. He was treated for his serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
Officers were able to help eight people leave the house before executing a search warrant. They identified 30-year-old Kalil Walker as the suspect in the shooting. He was not one of the individuals who had remained in the home.
Walker was arrested Thursday on Karnes Street and charged with first and second-degree assault and two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was taken to the Monroe County Jail and will be arraigned Friday in Rochester City Court. ...read more read less
