WATCH: Police pursuit ends in Hillcrest; suspect in custody

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Authorities pursued a suspected DUI driver in Chula Vista Friday morning, ending the chase in Hillcrest.
According to the Chula Vista Police Department, a call came in at 6:22 a.m. with a witness stating that they saw a driver run a red light at East H Street and Paseo D
el Rey. The caller said that the driver had hit their vehicle during the incident and then left the scene.
Another hit-and-run was reportedly shortly thereafter on westbound East H Street, police said. This victim was able to get a plate number and vehicle description, which they relayed to authorities.

The department put out a "be on the look out alert" to all local law enforcement agencies. A short time later, a San Diego County Sheriff's deputy spotted the vehicle and a pursuit was initiated.
According to San Diego Police Department, a call came in from county sheriff's requesting assistance on a suspected hit-and-run and DUI incident out of the South Bay.
Ultimately, the vehicle came to a stop in a grassy area near the 400 block of Dickinson Street, near Hillcrest Medical Center at UC San Diego Health.

SkyFox was over the scene and captured the ending moment on camera, as seen in the video at the top of this article. Officers and a K9 could be seen surrounding the vehicle, with a suspect seen cuffed and sitting in the grass.
