PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The documentary Secret Mall Apartment is coming to Showcase Cinemas at the Providence Place Mall Friday. The film follows the true events from 2003, when eight Rhode Islanders secretly built and lived in an apartment inside the mall. It was complete with furniture, ele ctricity and a locking brick wall. Today through Wednesday, March 26, there will also be an immersive photo opportunity. One of the eight people who lived in the apartment made a replica of it in the lobby of the movie theater.
