MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A man is dead after being hit by a car early Thursday morning in the Nutbush area, Memphis Police confirm. Around 1:20 a.m., officers say they responded to a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run crash on Jackson Avenue and Orchi Road. A man was found injured at the scene. Man cr itical, woman detained after Parkway Village shooting Officers say a driver hit the male pedestrian and left the scene. The driver was said to be in a silver metallic Chrysler 300 with front passenger-side damage, dragging the rear bumper. The man was then taken to Regional One Hospital where he later died due to his injuries. The victim has been identified as Harold Moore.
