Lincoln Police cruiser. (Jeff Motz/KFOR News)LINCOLN–(KFOR Mar. 21)–A stabbing late Thursday afternoon at a northeast Lincoln home results in one person being hospitalized, while a teen was taken into custody.
Lincoln Police Lt. Michelle Jochum tells KFOR News police were called just before 4pm
to a home near 63rd and Lexington, where officers found a 47-year-old woman with a stab wound to her back and a 15-year-old applying first aid for her injuries. Lt. Jochum says investigators soon found out that a 16-year-old male was arguing with the victim, before it got physical when he allegedly stabbed her in the back with a knife. Jochum says all three people involved are related.
The 16-year-old was still in the house and following a short standoff, he surrendered himself without any incident. The woman was taken to a Lincoln hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries. The 16-year-old was put into the Youth Services Center for first-degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
