Boosie Bash: Celebrating Louisiana's music and community spirit, honoring Caleb Wilson
Mar 21, 2025
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — If you're a fan of Louisiana rap legend Torence “Boosie” Hatch Jr., get ready for an unforgettable weekend in Baton Rouge. The 6th Annual Boosie Bash kicks off Friday night, bringing some of the hottest entertainment to the Capital Region.
This weekend i
s more than just a celebration—it's a vibrant showcase of Louisiana's culture, music and community spirit. Boosie, a Louisiana native, says his connection to the Capital Region runs deep, and with an event of this magnitude, public safety is a top priority.
"We've had six years straight with no violence - not even a fight. In Baton Rouge, I feel like that says a lot about me and my character and how people look at me. If I'm bringing all these people and money to the city, it's no reason we should be acting a fool," said Boosie.
Fans can expect a lineup of hip-hop and rap artists, including GloRilla, Sexxy Red, DaBaby, Big Boogie and more. Boosie will also be performing three times throughout the event, and his daughter, up-and-coming artist Iviona "Poison Ivy" Hatch, will take the stage.
"It's going to be a lot of energy because I'm performing at three times," said Boosie.
Caleb Wilson Scholarship
To honor Caleb Wilson, a Southern University student who was killed in a hazing incident, Boosie Bash is teaming up with the Southern University Human Jukebox. They will offer a scholarship for an incoming freshman. To qualify, the recipient must be a New Orleans resident and a future member of the band.
"We're just trying to lift some people up and give some notoriety on what happened... but we're definitely in support," Boosie said.
He also mentioned that Wilson’s father played a significant role in making this year's event possible.
