ALEXANDRIA, Va. (DC News Now) -- Alexandria police are urging drivers to avoid the area after a transformer caught fire on Friday morning. In a post on X just before 6 a.m., the Alexandria Police Department said crews with Dominion Energy were working to repair the transformer.
