ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Comedian and ventriloquist Jeff Dunham surprised his Rochester audience by revealing he had not eaten a garbage plate. Dunham did a Facebook Live after his show at the Blue Cross Arena Thursday night. He said he angered the local crowd by revealing he didn't know what t he famed Rochester dish was. During the Facebook Live, Dunham explained he sent his crew out to Dogtown to grab him a plate — or as he calls it "every vegan's worst nightmare." After trying the garbage plate, he said he understood why his crowd reacted the way he did. Rochesterians may remember Dunham isn't the first comedian to eat the garbage plate — Jim Gaffigan has become a fan of the dish after visiting Nick Tahou's, even saying that he "will never be the same."
