SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- It's a pretty morning on our LIVE Cam at Lake Madison on this Friday. It is the first "full" day of spring and we expect the typical talking points for early spring in our forecast.
Yesterday we reached the 50s and 60s across KELOLAND. The warmest location was Win
ner at 66 degrees.
Today will be cooler as weak system moves in from the northwest. We've been tracking some light showers and sprinkles on radar, but don't expect much moisture from this activity.
Temperatures will be cooler with the increasing NW winds. You can see the hourly planner for Sioux Falls below.
Expect widespread NW winds today with a blend of sun and clouds on Futurecast. Winds will diminish tonight, with a warmer day likely tomorrow. Expect higher fire danger again as well with highs in the 60s west of Sioux Falls. The next cold front will arrive Saturday night, with scattered showers likely into Sunday morning. A bit of snow could mix with the rain Sunday as the system departs into Minnesota.
More wind in the forecast on Sunday, with gusts over 40mph possible.
