FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Two people were displaced and their dog had to be treated for smoke inhalation after a mobile home caught fire in Fresno Thursday night, fire officials say.
Fresno Fire says crews responded to the mobile home park near Herndon and Blackstone avenues after receiving
a call at around 8:50 p.m. Once on scene, they found smoke and fire coming from the back of the home.
According to crews, there were two people inside at the time the fire started. The pair evacuated after being alerted by their smoke detector - their dog, however, lingered inside.
Although the dog is expected to recover, it had to be resuscitated and receive oxygen due to smoke inhalation.
No other injuries were reported, but crews expect the home to be a total loss. ...read more read less
