Drake ends Missouri Tigers season in First Round of NCAA Tourney

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Missouri Tigers will be headed home early in the NCAA Tournament, after getting beat 57-67 by the Cinderella story candidate Drake Bulldogs.
Mizzou lost, frankly, because they couldn't make shots; they shot an abysmal 32.6% from the floor compared to Drake's 54.3%.
Kansas Jayhawks bounced from NCAA Tournament in first round
Drake outpaced the Tigers in nearly every category of the game. Field goal percentage, three-point percentage, rebounds, assists and turnovers were all edges for the Bulldogs, despite Mizzou shooting better from the line.
Liberty native Bennett Stirtz put up a game-high 21 for the Bulldogs, along with other metro natives like Tavion Banks from Ruskin, who had 15 points, and Cam Manyawu from Staley who put up 7. ...read more read less
