(CNN)– Tesla vehicles are on a downward trend both in consumer interest and re-sale values. Searches for Teslas fell 16% over the past month, according to “Cars.com”. But searches for other electric vehicles rose 28% over the past year. According to another survey from car buying site “Car Gurus,” Tesla prices dropped at a higher rate than the average used car price. Some of this could be attributed to Tesla owner Elon Musk’s role in the Trump Administration where he has focused on slashing the federal government, but competition may also be a factor.
