Man suffers lifethreatening injuries, another injured in Frederick County barn fire

FREDERICK COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- A man sustained life-threatening injuries and another person was hospitalized after a fire in Frederick County Thursday, according to the Frederick County Division of Fire and Rescue Services.
Firefighters say crews responded to reports of a man trapped in
a barn on fire at 7:09 a.m. in the 9000 block of Reichs Ford Road.

According to firefighters, heavy flames and thick smoke could be seen billowing from the barn where the man was found unconscious inside.
Firefighters say the man was transported to Frederick Health Hospital with life-threatening injuries and another person was hospitalized for smoke inhalation.
A team of 45 firefighters controlled the flames within 15 minutes and no other structures were damaged, firefighters add.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Frederick County Fire Marshal's Office. ...read more read less
