CHARLES COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- An 11-year-old is facing disciplinary consequences after they allegedly made a threat to kill students and teachers at a school in Charles County, according to authorities.
The Charles County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) said that on Wednesday, March 19, the stude
nt threatened to kill all of the teachers and students at F. B. Gwynn Educational Center by using a gun.
Student charged after knife found at Charles County high school, deputies say
The School Resource Officer (SRO) contacted the student's relatives and searched their home, but did not find any guns.
Under Maryland law, the student can not be charged because of their age. However, the sheriff's office said the SRO notified the Charles County Department of Juvenile Services.
