BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 17-year-old Buffalo resident was sentenced to six months in jail in connection with a stabbing in south Buffalo last year, the Erie County District Attorney's Office said Thursday.
The offender pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree assault last month.

ing, which occurred on Nov. 1, 2024, happened on the 1900 block of Seneca Street. The offender, who was 17 at the time, intentionally stabbed the victim, a 43-year-old man, with a pocketknife during a neighborhood dispute.
The victim was taken by ambulance to ECMC, where he was hospitalized for several days after undergoing surgery for injuries sustained to his chest and abdomen during the attack.
After he gets out of jail, he will be subject to three years of probation.
