A Single Parking Spot in Boston Just Hit the Market for $750,000
Mar 20, 2025
The average American has to scrimp and save to even think about buying a house. Meanwhile . . . a single parking spot in Boston just hit the market for $750,000.
It’s in a parking garage in Beacon Hill, around the corner from Boston Common and right by the famous “Cheers” bar. (Ac
cording to Fortune.com, the average house in America costs $419,000.)
If 750 grand for a parking spot sounds like a lot, it’s actually MORE than that. The garage also charges $400 a month in fees. And the property taxes are $291 a month.
If you think no one would be crazy enough to pay that much for a parking spot . . . it looks like there’s already at least one buyer. Redfin lists it as “contingent.” So the owner accepted an offer, but it’s not finalized.
The site CarScoops says the same parking spot sold in 2023 for $500,000. Pretty sweet profit in just two years.
