NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Winds are gusting in the 20s and 30s Thursday morning behind the cold front from last night. Combine that with dewpoints in the 30s and we have a fire danger for today. A red flag warning is in effect meaning you should avoid outdoor burning.
Temperatures will slowly warm
back to the low 60s by this afternoon. Expect a chilly morning to start Friday with mid 30s north and upper 30s to low 40s south. After that it will be a beautiful afternoon Friday with highs back in the upper 60s. Saturday we warm into the mid and upper 70s.
Right now the next chance of storms looks to be early in the morning on Monday.
