CARLSBAD, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Two suspects face multiple felony charges after police found drugs and stolen checks in a getaway vehicle and motel room in Carlsbad. While on patrol, officers noticed a parked car with a shredded tire and drug paraphernalia in plain view, the Carlsbad Police Depa rtment said in a Facebook post Wednesday at 11:35 a.m. Authorities learned the vehicle had been used as a getaway car in multiple crimes, including mail theft and grand theft auto across several counties. ‘Dangerous’ drug trafficking ring shut down in Southern California Officers were able to link the vehicle to a motel room where they found two suspects, as well as three separate stashes of methamphetamine, dozens of stolen checks and fraudulent documents, an embosser machine commonly used in fraud and forgery crimes, and a BMW key linked to another suspect vehicle, according to police. The two suspects -- one on post-release supervision, the other with a felony warrant -- were arrested.
