RAYNHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — The Raynham Police Department and Raynham Fire Department said four people were taken to the hospital after a car collided with a motorcycle on Route 44 Wednesday. Around 5:34 p.m., police received multiple reports of a crash near 165 New State Highway. Preliminary investi gation indicated a 2020 Toyota Camry was turning left onto Route 44 westbound when it struck a motorcycle headed east. Officials said the motorcycle operator, a 55-year-old man, was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with life-threatening injuries. The motorcycle passenger, a 16-year-old girl, was also taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with critical injuries. The car operator, a 74-year-old woman, was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The car passenger, a 50-year-old man, was taken to Morton Hospital with unknown injuries, according to Raynham officials. Raynham police said crews and police requested a medical helicopter, which did not land at the scene due to mechanical issues.
