Raynham officials say four taken to hospital after car collided with motorcycle

RAYNHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — The Raynham Police Department and Raynham Fire Department said four people were taken to the hospital after a car collided with a motorcycle on Route 44 Wednesday.
Around 5:34 p.m., police received multiple reports of a crash near 165 New State Highway.
Preliminary investi
gation indicated a 2020 Toyota Camry was turning left onto Route 44 westbound when it struck a motorcycle headed east.
Officials said the motorcycle operator, a 55-year-old man, was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The motorcycle passenger, a 16-year-old girl, was also taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with critical injuries.
The car operator, a 74-year-old woman, was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The car passenger, a 50-year-old man, was taken to Morton Hospital with unknown injuries, according to Raynham officials.
Raynham police said crews and police requested a medical helicopter, which did not land at the scene due to mechanical issues.
Police said Route 44 was closed for almost two hours during the investigation.
Raynham police continue to investigate the crash.
