WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) -- McConnell Air Force Base is set to conduct controlled burns. Weather permitting, the controlled burns will begin on the southeast side of the base around 8 a.m. Thursday, near 47th Street South and Rock Road. The base says that after post-burn assessments, they will contin ue controlled burns working west toward Oliver through the weekend.
