Nick Page finishes fourth in World Championships moguls

Parkite mogulist Nick Page finished fourth Wednesday in the World Championships moguls competition in Engadin, Switzerland. Page posted a final round score of 80.77, less than a point off the podium. Japan’s Ikuma Horishima won the men’s event with a winning score of 89.03. Horishima dethroned m
en’s skiing great Mikael Kingsbury, who had won the last three championships moguls competitions, this time coming in second. Fellow Parkites Charlie Mickel, Kylie Kariotis and Kasey Hogg each made their respective finals rounds Wednesday. Mickel finished in 16th, Kariotis, 15th and Hogg, also 16th.The Parkites and the rest of the field will be back in action Friday for the dual moguls competitions, which will conclude their seasons. There is no qualification day for the dual moguls competitions.Also in Engadin Wednesday, the freeskiers kicked off their slopestyle competitions with the qualification rounds. Parkite Alex Hall won heat two, and fellow Parkites Mac Forehand and Troy Podmilsak also finished third and fifth in their respective heats. Parkite Marin Hamill finished eighth in the one women’s heat Wednesday. The slopestyle finals will be held Saturday in Engadin.
