ANDERSON, Ind. (WISH) — A 14-year-old boy died late Tuesday after he was hit by a car while walking in a street, according to the Anderson Police Department.
The victim’s name hasn’t been shared. The driver stayed on scene and cooperated with detectives.
Anderson PD was dispatched
to the 100 block of South Scatterfield Road around 11:10 p.m. Tuesday after a report of a car crash involving a pedestrian.
First responders arrived and found the teen lying in the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators later learned that the boy was walking in the roadway when he was hit by a car driving south. They did not say if any other circumstances led up to the accident.
